Today, I drove 5 ish hours south to Noboribetsu. This is apparently a super famous onsen. There is basically this tiny town, just downhill from a volcano water spot/pond that has these giant hotels and onsen built around it. I’m at the Noboribetsu Grand Hotel. My room is bonkers, with a built in hot tub. Too bad I’m leaving tomorrow, or is really enjoy it. I’ll probably try and hit the tub in my room one more time before I leave. The onsen downstairs was great too, best I’ve had this trip. On the way I stopped at the volcanic pond (dipped my feet in a natural foot spa) and a perfectly circular lake with crystal clear water. Oh, and wandered around the tiny town and had amazing pizza at Pizza Astra here. Now, some pics.
