The W Day One (we were going East to West) was legitimately tough. We tackled the Tres Torres first. It’s another crazy day of hiking, which ended up being about 15 miles and nearly 4700 feet elevation gain. Much as with Lago de los Tres, the last bit of this hiking was little more than scrambling to the top And, weirdly it moved from sunny and about 45 to snowing and about 25 at the Tres Torres. But, the sight was beautiful when we arrived. Then, we turned around and went back. Oh, and it rained the entirety of the last 2 ish hours of the hike. Kind of poured the last 30 min…
We then hiked back down, and took a short bus ride to a private campground near Laguna Azul (far East side of the park). The accommodations there were top notch, and the food was amazing, but it was very, very cold tent camping. Pictures! It was an amazing day!
